A 2-day tour from Marrakech to Zagora is a popular option for those who want to explore the beautiful desert landscapes of southern Morocco. You may also stop to see the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most well-preserved examples of earthen architecture in the world. Once you reach Zagora, you will have the opportunity to relax and explore the town before taking a sunset camel trek into the desert. You will spend the night in a traditional desert camp, where you can enjoy a traditional Berber dinner and experience the unique culture of the desert nomads.

On the second day, you will have the opportunity to explore the desert further by camel or on foot. You can visit remote Berber villages, visit ancient kasbahs and perhaps to see some desert oasis before travelling back to Marrakech. This tour is a great way to experience the beauty of the Moroccan desert and get a taste of traditional Berber culture. It offers a great balance of guided activities and free time to explore on your own.

Day 1: Marrakech – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

First, Tour marrakech zagora 2 days will start from Marrakech when we pick you up from your hotel and travel. So we depart Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou through Tizi Ntichka pass an elevation of 2260m (6,867 ft.). Then, you visit the UNESCO world heritage Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou a spectacular fortified village (Ksar). Lunch will be in a traditional restaurant in Ait Benhaddou.

Likewise, we continue to Ouarzazate, visit Kasbah Taourirte and the cinema studios of Atlas & CLA Studios where many movies were produced thus being called The Hollywood of Africa like Lawrence of Arabia, Sahara… In the afternoon you’ve taken in the traditional ways of the Kasbah, make your way up the stairs to the top of the fortification to get a stunning view of the surrounding Skoura palm groves.

You will visit a Berber village in Agdez, After a quick stop in the village center, get ready to admire one amazing scenery after another driving along Draa Valley with its fortified Kasbahs and oases dotted with hundreds of thousands of dates palm trees. Draa Valley hosts the largest palm tree plantation in Morocco.

Upon arrival at Zagora desert late in the afternoon, you meet your camel caravan, and your camel trekking adventure will begin through Zagora desert while assisting to an amazing sunset for about an hour until arriving at your desert camp. your accommodations this evening will be camping in a Nomad Berber Tent. Accommodation and dinner at your camp.

Day 2: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou– Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

In the morning, after having a sunrise breakfast, we will break camp and ride our camels out of the desert and back to our original point of departure, before starting on your way back towards Ouarzazate to Marrakech. We will stop along the route for lunch or tea. Once you arrive in Marrakech, you will be dropped off at your hotel, and this will complete your Tour marrakech zagora 2 days and end our services.
