Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

This tour starts when we pick you up to travel throughout Tangier to explore some of the local sights of the town. You will visit the souk and the Kasbah. After we will travel towards Chefchaouen, stopping at the Caves of Hercules. After we will travel on to Tétouan, the Berber name meaning “the eyes”. Once we have visited the town we will stop to have lunch before departing for Chefchaouen. In Chefchaouen you will visit of the village and its brightly painted medina.

Chefchaouen, referred to as the city of blue doors, is one of the prettiest towns in Morocco. Its beauty along with the relaxed atmosphere of the town is what makes Chefchaouen very appealing.Your accommodations and dinner will be in your hotel in Chefchaouen

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast, we will leave Chefchaouen to travel to Fes. In our route we will stop to visit of the Roman Ruins of Volubilis. The ruins remained substantially intact until an earthquake devastated them in the mid-18th century. After you will travel on to Meknes, one of the four Imperial cities, whereyou will visit the famous El Hedim Square, the Mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail and the Old Medina before arriving to Fes. Your accommodations and dinner will be in your hotel in Fes.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast at your hotel, a local guide will take you to visit the most remarkable places in the oldest Imperial City. You will visit of the Mellah, the Medina, and the exterior of the Kairaouine Mosque. The Kairaouine Mosque, the holiest and second largest mosque in Morocco. You will also visit the University of al-Karaouine, the oldest existing and continually operating university in the world as well as the BouInaniaMedrasa, the most famous quoraniq school in Morocco. Lastly, you will visit the Chouwara Tannery.

Lunch will be at a typical restaurant in the medina. Your accommodations and dinner will be back in your hotel in Fes.

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga (Night at Desert Camp)

After breakfast at your hotel, your tour starts with an early departure in Fes from your hotel. You will be amazed by the most fascinating landscapes conceivable as we pass along the Middle Atlas Mountains. Your first destination will be to Ifrane.

Ifrane: Ifrane, The Little Switzerland of Morocco, is unlike any other town in North Africa. It is located at an elevation of 1,665 m (5,463 ft.), above sea level in the Middle Atlas region. It is a small resort town set high up in the mountains with a Swiss like ambiance. Ifrane serves as the winter playground for the wealthy Berbers from drier cites like Fez, Meknes, and Marrakech, who flock here to experience a European winter or to find relief from the summer heat. Ifrane is also a popular altitude-training destination as well. In 1995 Al Akhawayn University, an English-language, American-curriculum public university opened and this has helped re-launch Ifrane as a desirable destination for domestic tourism. Consequently, Ifrane continues to develop as both a summer and winter resort.

Azrou: CèdreGouraud, is a forest, in the woodland area, in the Middle Atlas Mountain Range in Morocco. The forest is truly remarkable and a complete contrast from the Sahara Desert. This beautified cedar forest is home to the endangered Barbary Apes, which are actually monkeys. Once you arrive you won’t have to look far to see the Barbary Apes, as they are not shy to come out of the forest to greet you. This will be good opportunity to take photos of the timberland in Morocco.

Zaida: The town of Zaida, a small Berber town in the Midelt region, has an incredible street lined with restaurants. You will see many displays of fresh meat hanging in front of the shops as well as traditional wood burners cooking an assortment of tagines. Here is a great place where we will stop to have lunch before we continue on through the Atlas Mountains towards the Merzouga.

Midelt: On your travels you will pass through the town of Midelt, with a population of 55,304 recorded in 2014, it is located in central Morocco, in the high plains between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas Mountains ranges. The cities elevation is 1508 m (4948 ft.), making it one of the highest large towns in Morocco. Midelt is one of Morocco’s principle cities for the mining of several minerals as well as a market for agriculture for an area extending across the region. This region is best known for apples, walnuts, apricots, plums, pomegranates, wheat, corn and a wide variety of garden vegetables.

Erfoud: Erfoud is a town in southern Morocco, in the Tafilalet-region. Erfoud has been given the name of “The Gate of Sahara Desert” as it is near the Erg Chebbi Dunes since you can actually take direct off-road route to the dunes.
While traveling through Erfoud, which is known for its precious and unique fossils, we will stop to visit the workers of fossils and the Erfoud Market of Dates.

Merzouga: When you arrive to Merzouga we will go to a hotel, drink a mint tea and secure any luggage that you may not need for the next leg of the tour. From here we will go to Erg Chebbi where you will embark upon a camel and journey into the Sarah Desert. The camels will be packed with food and blankets, as well as the other necessities needed for this one night stay in the desert. We will trek our way through the sand to a small Oasis in the middle of the dunes. Here is where you will be spending your evening, where the sky is clear and stars sparkle and shine with intensity. Your accommodations this evening will be camping in a Nomad Berber Tent.

Once settled in at camp, a campfire will be lit and our staff will play music with drums in order to share our culture with you. Afterwards you will be severed your dinner under the Saharan skies ‘blanket of stars’ at the campfire or in the restaurant tent at the camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Jorf – Todgha Gorges – Rose Valley – Ouarzazete

In the morning, after having a sunrise breakfast, we will break camp and ride our camels out of the desert and back to our original point of departure. You will then travel back to the hotel so that you can shower, have breakfast and collect your luggage before starting on your way back towards Ouarzazate.

Jorf: Here you will stop to visit the old Canal of Irrigation. This area dates back to the 14th century and has provided water for towns and villages for several centuries. The underground aqueducts were designed to transport water slopes without active pumping. In the 1970’s diesel pumps were put in to usecausing some of the aqueducts in this region to go dry. Recent studies concluded that the depth of the water table has dropped 50% over the past 40 years, which has affected the amount of date palm grown in the region.

Tinghir: One of the most spectacular Gorges in the world, Todgha Gorges is a series of limestone river canyons in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, nearTinghir. Both the Todgha and Dades Rivers are responsible for cutting out these deep cliff-sided canyons. The heights of the canyon walls vary, but in some places can be up to 400m (1,312 ft.) high.

KelaatM’Gouna: At the southernmost gorges is the AsifM’Goun River, which runs alongside of a small town referred to as Valley of the Roses. The Valley of the Roses is known for the extensive harvest of roses, used in the production of perfume, rose water, oil, and cosmetic products. Among the foliage you will also find groves of palm and almond trees.

You will arrive to Ouarzazate in late afternoon at which time you will be checked in to your hotel for your accommodations which includes dinner

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Kasbah – Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast,you will visit the cinema studios of Atlas & CLA Studios where many movies were produced thus being called “The Hollywood of Africa.” Atlas Studio & CLA Studios is home to many prestigious movies filmed from Lawrence of Arabia, Tea in Sahara, Black Hawk Down, Moses, Gladiator, Cleopatra, The Mummy 1 & 2, Alexander the Great, Kingdom of Heaven, Sahara, Troy, Hidalgo, Patton, The Hills has Eyes, The Way Back, Babel,Treasure Island, Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator, Ben-Hur and The Passions of Christand even more. Departure from Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah,UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village (Ksar) one of the oldest and better maintained Kasbah in Morocco. Lunch during the trip. Passing by the mountain pass Tizin Tichka at 2260 m altitude. Arrival to Marrakech. Dinnerand accommodation.

Day 7: Marrakech City Tour

After your morning breakfast at your hotel, our guide and driver will pick up to explore the city of Marrakech, you will have the opportunity to discover the amazing old Medina. You will see the Majorelle Garden that host more than 15 bird species that are prevalent to North Africa, has many fountains and a remarkable collection of cacti.The garden was once owned by Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé, between 1980 and 2008. After Yves Saint Laurent death in 2008 his ashes were scattered about in the Majorelle Garden.You will visit Marrakech’s most visited monument the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the New City of Marrakech – Gueliz.

Your accommodations and dinner will be back at your hotel in Marrakech.

Day 8: Marrakech – El Jadida

After breakfast you will depart from Marrakech to travel to El Jadida, a port city on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. We will stop to have lunch at one of the restaurants in the seaport. While in El Jadida you will tour some of the most notable landmarks of the province. You will visit the beach Plage d’el Jadida, the Portuguese cistern and the old medina. You will have the opportunity to take 3 or 4 hours to explore the town on your own. Dinner and accommodations will be at your hotel in El Jadida.

Day 9: El Jadida – Casablanca – Rabat

After your  morning breakfast, we will depart to Casablanca. Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco and one of the largest financial centers on the continent. It is considered the economic and business center of Morocco. It hosts the primary navel base for the Royal Moroccan Navy. We will take a panoramic tour of the city and visit the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in North Africa, and the 13th largest in the world. After lunch, we will drive in the direction of Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Once we arrive to Rabat we will visit the Oudayas Kasbah, the Chellah Gardens, Hassan Tower and Mohamed V Museum. Dinner and accommodation will be at your hotel in Rabat.

Day 10: Rabat – Tangier

After breakfast, you will depart from Rabat and will be transported to Tangier. Once you arrive to Tangier, you will be dropped off at your hotel and this will complete your 10 Day Tour from Tangier and end our services.
